1st Semester Reflection

Quality of Work

  My images were decent for something that i'm new to. I think that i can improve my images a little more this semester. I think the quality of my images weren't the worst but, i feel that if they were shot with an actual camera then the quality would be a little better. I understood all the assignments pretty well, and i think all my projects went along with the assignment. I do think i could've tried a little more harder with being creative with taking the pictures. I had the correct number of pictures for my index prints and always turned my assignments in on time. My assignments were always in the correct format and resolution.

Effort

   I always took my photos but sometimes i would take them last minute making them not the best and thats one of the things ill improve on this semester. I always tried finding the best area that fit the theme of the assignments. Planning on taking the pictures i wasn't the best at because i would sometimes forget. For shooting my pictures it depended on the assignment and that reflected on how many pictures i took. I always tried to go over like 5-10 more pictures than needed. I don't avoid photogenic pictures because i've always been interested in photogenic images and i like the concept behind them. If a shot is hard to take i try my hardest until i feel good with it. I feel that i go for more simplistic things because thats what i like so i don't really take risk with my photos. I like seeing progression in things as it is so seeing progression in my photography is very interesting. I try and have a positive attitude in things i do so i try doing that with photography.

Participation 

   Im always on time to class without any problems. I try and work throughout class but sometimes i can get very social with my friends so, i try and balance the two. I work independently most of the time unless i need help with something. I try and stay on task as much as i can so i get my work done but i can sometimes get off track. 

Improvement 

   As a photographer i like really simplistic things but with meanings behind them. Although i don't really do that with my photos i would like to try it eventually. Technically i would like to improve my photoshop skills, i feel that theres still a lot more to learn and try. I would like to improve my composition by making objects equal out with the background. I don't really have confidence in my work because i don't think it's the best.

Adjustment
   For this semester i would like to improve on the quality of my photos. To do this i will actually take my time taking the photos. Also i would like to plan out when i'm going to take my photos so i'm not in a rush to get them done. I would also like to see my progress throughout the semester.

Part ll
 I would like to do another minimalisim project. I really like simplistic things and i would like to incorrporate that with photography.
